Solar Thermal Panels, called ‘Collectors’, are attached to the roof. They use energy from the sun to heat up water which is then stored in a hot water cylinder. A boiler or immersion heater can be used to top temperatures up. They are highly effective in summer – less so in winter, but still produce a good saving.
Solar Thermal combines well with an Air Source Heat Pump (Air to Air)
